I love poker. I'm in my poker playing prime and never get "exhausted" from playing poker - not physically, mentally or emotionally. I study poker and stay up to date on how players are playing, which helps when I'm up against various playing styles. My preferred game is No Limit Hold'em, although I do know other forms of poker.
Just finished 19th out of 852 on Sunday, August 18th during Day 2 of a $400 buy-in/$250k gtd. at Venetian Las Vegas, which provided a good ROI to my backers. I am currently playing events in the Venetian series from September 2 - 22nd. In this series, I am planning to play 5 of the events that have buy-in's of $340 to $600 and prize pools of $100k to $200k. Beyond that, I plan to play a number of events in the Wynn series from September 23 - October 13th. The Wynn series has over $2.5 million in guarantees, and several that have six-figure guaranteed prize pools.
October 14 - 20th, the Venetian has a series with $324,000 in guaranteed prize pools. The big one in that series will be the $400 buy-in/$250k guaranteed MonsterStack tourney with 5 starting flights, which is the same one I just cashed in - taking 19th out of 852 entries. Then from October 21 - 27th, the Venetian has another brief tourney series that features a $250 buy-in/$150k gtd tourney that has 5 starting flights. I will be selling action for tourneys in each of these series - on buy-in's ranging from $250 to $600 - which my action usually sells out on...and provides a cost-effective way of getting a piece of some good potential cashes.
I am a Las Vegas based poker tournament player selling action for some of my upcoming poker tournaments. I cashed in the Colossus in 2017 - finishing top 4% out of 18,054 entries & the 2018 Colossus - finishing better than top 10% out of 13,070 entries, as well as a $1,500 buy-in WSOP event in 2018 and a number of other events with large fields.
I started playing poker in 2006, just one year after moving to Las Vegas from New Jersey. I started out playing at the Sahara (SLS now) in their $60 tourney that had unlimited re-entries through the first break, and I quickly started cashing and taking 1st places. I often played all 3 of the Sahara's daily tourneys - which were the biggest fields in town year round, with the exception of some of the special series' that other casinos would have. The Sahara tourney would get from 90 to 200+ players regularly for years, with 1st place often reaching $3k to $4k.
Other casinos I regularly played daily & weekly tourneys at before stepping up to the bigger tourneys that appear on my Hendon Mob profile are: Golden Nugget, Planet Hollywood, Wynn, Caesars, Binion's, Hard Rock, Treasure Island, Paris, MGM, Mandalay Bay, Stratosphere, Tuscany, Green Valley Ranch, Sam's Town, the Plaza, Venetian, Aria, Bellagio, and probably a few others I'm not remembering. I've cashed everywhere I've played, and if the daily & weekly casino cashes appeared on my Hendon Mob, I would have well over 300 cashes on my profile. I no longer play the lesser tourneys that do not show up in the results, since I stepped up beyond that level. I am a very good cash game player and use some of my cash game winnings to enter tourneys.
My goal is to focus on No Limit Hold'em poker tourneys that have 6-figure and 7-figure guaranteed prize pools, as well as tourneys whose prize pool's may not be as big, but are good relative to the buy-in amount (such as a lot of the Venetian Las Vegas tourneys, Wynn, Aria, etc.) I will also be traveling to play tourneys that have prize pools of at least $1 million, such as some of the WSOP Circuit, HPT, PokerStars LIVE and Party Poker LIVE events, within the US as well as internationally.
